On December 14, 2018, substantial changes were announced for Alberta’s Condominium Property Act and Condominium Property Regulation. The changes will come into effect July 1, 2019 and Jan 1, 2020.
Alberta’s Condominium Act has been updated with changes coming into effect on January 1, 2018 and April 1, 2018. The amendments include many changes that will impact the operations of condominium boards and developers.
What effect will this change in the Human Rights legislation have on existing and future age restricted condominiums? The condominium department will be in contact with the Alberta Government to find out.
